God Touching Hearts

It has been amazing to witness so many campers trusting Christ as Savior. God has worked through various means and many people to draw these children and youth to himself.

Camp is a wonderful tool which God uses to reach the lost. Youth come out of their familiar environment and are surrounded by God's creation and His Word. Camp is a greenhouse for planting and growing Christians.

As a family we have been teaching English, playing volleyball, doing drama, and sharing the Gospel with wonderful results!

For the past 6 weeks there has been 25-45 campers come to Christ each week. The first 3 weeks of camp we ministered to 7-12 year old campers. The next 5 weeks are 12-19 year old campers.

All of us have been involved in teaching English. One week Natalie had a small group of campers, but 2/3 of them accepted Jesus for the first time that week!

Dan has coached volleyball, both advanced and beginner teams. Daniel was on his beginner team and they won first-place. More importantly, a young, orphaned, Gypsy girl, Lila, accepted Christ.

Hannah is in a very powerful drama: Born Again to a Living Hope. It is based on a real-life story of drugs and AIDS. It grabs the youth's attention and presents the love of Christ with a wonderful opportunity to come to Jesus. This has been very affective in the youth camps..

Rain, rain go away... We have had two weeks of heavy rain which drenched some of the sports activities but did not dampen the Gospel message. Ukraine and Romania had heavy rain as well, with flooding that killed Twenty-five people. Pray for their families and for God to be glorified even in the midst of such tragedy.

The campers love all the wacky games we play.
Camp teaches youth to work together....

.... and that God love us to have FUN!

We utilize many forms of fun, games, drama, teachings, anything we can to build relationships and talk about God.
For many of these campers a new race is on ... they are running the race of the Christian life.

As you pray, encourage, and support us – the faith of many of these campers is the result of your ministry to us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. (Taken from 2 Corinthians 3:3)
